This article is about a mobile battery.
The AUKEY PB-T9 I purchased last March had been my daily driver, but I noticed it was slightly swelling, so I decided it was unsafe to keep using and stopped carrying it.
However, my main phone, the iPhone X, drains its battery so quickly that it often doesn’t last a full day…
Most of my university data is stored in cloud storage or on my 2-in-1 laptop, so it’s not a critical issue, but it does get inconvenient at times.
So, I decided to purchase a new mobile battery.
The AUKEY PB-T9 had a massive 16000mAh capacity, but it was also quite heavy (around 350g), so this time I looked for something lighter yet still high-capacity.
I ended up with the RAVPower RP-PB060 6700mAh. The Anker Astro E1 5200mAh was also a contender, but since both were the same size, I went with the higher capacity option.
The box is incredibly compact. I was honestly surprised…

Here’s a side view of the box. The contents seem to be crammed in tightly, as the box is visibly bulging.
Given that “swelling” is what retired my last battery, this is a bit unsettling. I wish the box were slightly larger.

Here are the contents: a USB cable, carrying pouch, the unit itself, a manual, and a mystery card.
The body is straightforward and simple. It’s made of plastic rather than resin, so it shouldn’t pick up stains easily.
The front features a 4-level battery indicator.

As for the ports: input is Micro USB, output is standard USB. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Input is rated at 5V x 2A = 10W, and output at 5V x 2.4A = 12W. Note that it does not support Qualcomm Quick Charge.

On this side, there’s a power button.

That’s the overview of the exterior. I tested charging my Mi 6 with it, and it charged just fine.
After using it a few more times, I’ll add a follow-up if anything noteworthy comes up.
